Pictures from God: Love's Butterfly

Pictures from God: Love’s Butterfly

In this catching of the right butterfly, this right one created for you by God, it is hard and takes endurance. Butterflies are very beautiful but also they are fragile and hard to catch. Sometimes it feels like you’re reaching for something that’s not there because most of the time you only grasp air. Is there really such a thing as a butterfly?

Another problem is after you decide you can catch this said “butterfly”, you find that they are all quite beautiful, as they clump together flying here and there, so many distract easily from the one you are looking for. You may catch one in your hand, even after grasping at the air again and again hopelessly trying to catch the right one, and it may be very beautiful. It may look perfect, but only God can tell you that it isn’t perfect and does not have your mark on it. To someone else, it will be very beautiful and perfect. So let it go gently and keep grasping for that air.

Don’t ever use a net to catch many at once. You’ll pick up a lot of bad ones and possibly hurt them and others as you wave it around, netting them in. It seems and probably is a quicker way of catching one but it’s entirely the wrong way. Because there is even less likely you’ll catch the right one. And if you do, you might just scare the right one off!

So continue to use your hand, but not too much. You make lose energy in the hand and feel defeated from failed attempts. Be patient and don’t worry or get distracted by a beautiful one you’ve already caught after grasping again and again in failure however few or many times you try to grasp, looking around. But, with God’s help, you will find the perfect one and it will be so much more beautiful than all the others. And catch it gently, don’t let excitement make your hand too harsh and thus result in crushing it or frightening it. But the gentler and more patient with love and respect of God’s creation that you approach and catch it, the more it will love you in return and stay in your hand.
